FOUNDER & CEO
Matt is a Cornell University chemical engineer at Unilever and his past corporate experiences include Pepsi and Kraft Foods. Matt founded FOREFRONT in 2015 after having gone to India the past three years and other countries such as El Salvador, Venezuela, and Paraguay and seeing the various severe needs in water/sanitation, education, health, and social justice.
Carlo leads the FOREFRONT finance team. He is currently a Senior Accountant with Unilever. He is also a Seton Hall University alum with a major in Finance. His passions include competing in mixed martial arts competitions and mentoring in the Big Brother Big Sister program.
Chanwook leads the FOREFRONT programs team. He currently works at Orbital ATK, building space systems, and holds B.S. and M.Eng degrees in engineering disciplines from Cornell University. His favorite places in the world are Ithaca, Salzburg, and Oscar's Seafood Tacos in San Diego. He hopes that he can be a light to many who are truly poor and needy in this world.
Christine currently works for a Swiss bank and is an Associate Director of event marketing. She has a BSc from New York University where she majored in Media, Culture and Communications. Christine is currently training for a half marathon and enjoying life as a newlywed! Her passions include singing, eating and being a mentor to younger sisters in college.
COMMERCE & COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Diane graduated from Rutgers University with an Exercise Science degree and is currently working for Jersey Physical Therapy. Her past experiences include working at the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games. She is a wild dreamer, a rom-com junkie, and a pad thai enthusiast.
Edmund is a registered architect with over 10 years of experience in design, planning and construction. He graduated from Columbia University’s School of Architecture. Edmund’s past work experience includes Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and trendy fitness chain Soulcycle. He is now working for a prominent real estate developer in NY. Edmund loves to watch movies with his wife Grace and play sports in his off hours.
SOCIAL & PARTNERSHIPS
Eunice is currently a third-year Communications major and the president of the very first FOREFRONT chapter at Rutgers University. Her focus as a campus leader is using creative media to teach students about the organization and its four-tiered mission. Her hobbies include watching cooking videos, trying new foods, and playing with her beloved dog PB.
Evonne graduated as a food scientist from Cornell University. She now works at Unilever. She loves fashion and trying new foods!
Giela graduated with a dual degree in marketing and human resources from CSU: East Bay. She has managed all types of social media for both small & large organizations. Her favorite social media platform is Pinterest. On her downtime, she loves to travel, swim, and binge watch Scandal.
CREATIVE AND CONTENT
Jen currently works in program and communications for USAID's Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance division based in Washington, DC. She has previously held a position at the International Rescue Committee. Jen graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Government. She likes bacon, French, and oxford commas. She doesn't like mayonnaise or being pressured into standing ovations.
GROWTH & SUSTAINABILITY
Juliana holds a B.S. in Food Science from Cornell University. She is currently Manager, Food Safety & Compliance at Plated in Manhattan. Juliana is looking to make a positive impact on society through a unifying medium. She is a bookworm, extreme baker, nature lover, and can carry on a conversation about almost anything.
Justin graduated from Rutgers University and now works at American Express OPEN as a UX designer. He loves playing basketball, dancing, and experiencing nature.
WATER & SANITATION
Mackenzie is currently studying mechanical engineering at Cornell University. She is passionate about sustainability and hopes to improve access to safe drinking water. She love to play outside, eat delicately crafted mac & cheese, and listen to her favorite songs on repeat. In her free time she enjoys playing with her gecko, Watson and daydream about her home in Colorado.
Matt is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where he studied International Affairs, Spanish, and Business Administration. Matt currently works as a Program Associate at the International Republican Institute where he assists in program management and development in the South Asia region. Aside from international development, Matt loves learning languages, running and reading.
Michelle is a Teach for America Corps Member working as a high school math teacher in Washington, DC and a graduate student at the Johns Hopkins School of Education. She previously worked in Sales and Trading at J.P. Morgan and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University. Michelle enjoys hiking, piano, ballet, and spending quality time with her amazing students.
Naomi is the graphic designer for FOREFRONT. She is a freelance graphic designer and works part-time for Youth Empowerment Services in New Brunswick, NJ. She is a Savannah College of Art and Design alum with a BFA in graphic design. She loves anything DIY, cooking, eating dessert before dinner, and board games.
Originally from Dallas, Sharon attended Cornell University. She started with Teach For America where she worked as a kindergarten teacher, assistant and founding principal. Sharon is incredibly excited to impact the quality of rich instruction in classrooms abroad. Sharon can be found watching Shonda Rhimes' shows, hiking, and planning her next travel adventure.
Siddharth is a passionate architect who finds social design very engaging. He is currently employed with CallisonRTKL, Seattle but was born and raised in India. Indian classical music proves to be a constant source of inspiration to him and he loves exploring cuisines from different parts of the globe. Siddharth has pursued graduate education in architecture at Columbia University and the University of Washington.
Terry holds a BA in rhetoric from UC Berkeley and an MA in education policy at Teachers College Columbia University. Originally from the San Francisco Area, Terry is interested in educational and organizational strategies of change aimed at removing inequities and fostering productive inter-group relations.
