PHASE TWO: EDUCATION - IN PROGRESS NOW

THE NEED:

  • India is among the top five nations in the world for out-of-school children of primary school age

  • 1.4 million 6-11 year olds are not attending school

  • 29% of children drop out before completing five years of primary school

  • 43% drop out before finishing upper primary school

  • Barriers: access, affordability and awareness of education

WHERE WE ARE NOW:

  • We are working towards building a school that will serve 400 children

  • Our next step is to purchase land for the school. Find out how you can help.

  • FOREFRONT architects, Edmund and Sid, are currently designing the school. They are working closely with our local partner to ensure design accommodates the local climate, terrain and energy sources.
